Tokyo Japanese Shibuya Shopping Guide

Shibuya is no strange places to Japan Tokyo visitors, it has gather the most crowd as the Shibuya Station the mass interchange for rails, subways, buses and taxi. It is also the places for young teenagers fashion ground, for example the used to be very famous Para Para Sakura dance, and the black color face with white color lips and high think rubber heels shoes are all originated here. Not to mention, around Shibuya station is also the shopping heaven to a lot local and international tourists.

1. Q-Front at Shibuya

It has 10 floors, famous of its new latest fashions for teenagers, and particularly it operates until 2.00am and some like Starbucks Cafe operates until 4.00am. So it is very suitable places for teenagers that loves hangout all night long. 1 tip is if you have nothing much to do, you actually can sit in front of the  window seat in Starbucks where you can have the most exciting view on the biggest and busiest crossing in the world that only can find in Shibuya station.

2. Shibuya Central Street

Just next to Q-Front, it is the main shopping street in Shibuya, as there are so many different theme shopping outlets, different kind of restaurants, most of the time you can many students hangout and have gathering over here. Inside the Shibuya central street, there are plenty of sports shoes shops that operates until late night around 11.30pm. Also you can find HMV building there, if you like music, J-Pops, animations. 3. The Most Famous and Landmark of Shibuya - Shibuya 109

Has been in business for more than 26 years, its targeted customers are ranging 19-23 years old. There are so many local unique brands for local and some are international brands. If you are Japan fashion brands lover, you should try it out here. One good things about the goods sold here are so unique that it cannot be found the 2nd piece, hence many young artists love to shop here too.                                               Access information: From JR Shibuya station Hachiko exit, 3 minutes walk.

4. 01 City

Just a few years back, there were 3 O1 series (O1 Young, O1 of building in Shibuya). It is the place even Robbie Williams also went for crazy shopping. Has a lot of local famous brands like Kura Chika, INDIVI, VIVIYOU, Pou Dou Dou and some international big brands like Burberry Black Label, Vivienne Westwood and etc. You can do a tax refund in the 9F in this building.                                                                   Access information: From JR Shibuya station Hachiko exit, 3 minutes walk.

5. 01 Jam

Used to be 01 Young, now change to 01 Jam, named after a famous girls band from Kobe called Jam formed by Jun, Ami and Misako. You can get mostly ladies local brands here, some sports brands like Adidas and Nike Style. Tax refund also can be done at 8F.

6. Mark City

The daily 100 thousand traffic shopping place - The Mark City Shibuya. It is a hotel tower with ground floor to 4th floor are shopping complexes and department stores. The key stores here are United Arrows Green label, Anges B, Untitle, Rope Picnic, Birkenstock, Natural Kitchen, Prada and etc.

7. Tokyo Hands - Creative Life Store

Named after Hands is because all the goods sold here can be D.I.Y. It has wide range of products ranging from beauty care, cleaning, kitchen ware, furniture, presents, stationary, toiletry, travel and many more. If you like taking authentic Japanese hot spring back at you hometown, you can get many different fragrant hot spring powder bath at here.

Access information: 2 minutes walk from JR Shibuya station Hachiko exit.

8. Mandarake

It is the most famous manga outlet in Japan, with the most manga title collection in Japan. Other than manga, you can get cosplay costumes, limited edition mangas, original print and drawing of mangas, and antique cabinet here. Interesting thing you will notice here is the store workers are all in cosplay customes.

Access information: 10 minutes walk from JR Shibuya station Hachiko exit, walk inside Central Street and you can find it there.

9. Right On and Flash Report

Right On has 300 outlets around Japan, famous of jeans and casual wears, it carries the wide variety famous brand - Harvard, Nike, Quicksilver, Vans, Champion, etc.

Flash Report is another American casual clothing theme store that has about 12 outlets around Japan. Specialize in selling copied vintage products with very reasonable price.

10. Parco Part 1, Part 3

Shibuya is the strong hold of Parco. Parco has 9 stores in Shibuya alone. Parco 1 focus on international brands like Katharine Hamnett, final home, Abahouse, miumiu, A.T., Tsumori Chisato, ZUCCa and many more.

Parco 3 focus on new age young generation, brands like Candy Stripper, Hysteric Mini, Muji, Diva London, Stussy, LOWRYS FARM and many more.

11. Beams Shibuya

Three Minutes Happiness is the higher class of $100 Yen shop, it has casual wear, cosmetic products, presents, small items, apparels and many. All products pricing ranging from $100 to $1000 Yen, the quality is much higher than the normal $100 Yen shop.

14. Rag Tag Shibuya

The biggest used cloth brand store in Japan. A four storey store that has many limited edition used cloths looks brand new you can get here.
