Guangzhou is famous of dining, Chinese
always said "Eat at Guangzhou", but there is another Guangzhou famous
is shopping. It is the shopping heaven for Chinese people, also for
world wide travelers. There are numerous wholesales mall for clothing,
accessories, toys, dried foods, and Chinese traditional and new
year goods, there are many more. Not to mention there are also many big
shopping malls around Guangzhou city there have many department stores.
Also there are so many streets that are selling special goods only
where each street sell one particular goods like sports apparels, or
office suits, or kids wares, or kitchen wares, etc. Here categorize
some famous shopping places in Guangzhou.

Tian He Cheng (TeeMall)
Tian He Cheng is the earliest centralized
and one stop shopping mall and now it is the must visit shopping place
for every person who come to Guangzhou, especially it is the locals
favorite malls during weekends and holidays. Here you can find anything
you want to look for, there is Jusco department store inside the mall.

subway, board number 1 subway line, stop at Ti Yu Xi Lu station.
2. Chong Hua
Guang Chang & Liu Xing Qian Xian (China Mall &
Fashion Mall)
Here is the biggest subway shopping mall
in China and with highest shopping quality. This Chong Hua Guang Chang
sell a lot of local designers cloths, and furniture with very localized
uniqueness design. There are special shops for ladies and guys fashion
lovers, as for ladies you can have all sort of shopping goods you wish
to buy, even doing facial or pedicure and manicure. For guys, there a
whole street inside the subway mall selling goods ranging from sport
gears, casual wears, apparels like cigarette box, whisky bottle,
lighter and many more.

subway, board number 1 subway line, stop at Lie Shi Lin Yuan station
the shopping malls is right in front the exist.
3. Shang Xia Jiu (Up Down Nine) and Beijing Road
This two streets are the most popular
street shopping places with its authentic and traditional shop lots,
also the history behind it. For Shang Xia Jiu, it is a 1218 meter long
street with shop houses at both side, total about few thousands shop
houses, so many goods selling here some are for wholesales. Beside
Shang Xia Jiu, there is a street call Zhuang Yuan Fang which is famous shopping ground for
teenagers.
Beijing road is a very unique place for shopping as few thousands years
ago, the exact location is one of the ancient shopping street where now
you can see many ancient build roads still underneath Beijing road
through glass floor along Beijing road. Both side has many department
stores and shops, more towards ladies fashions. One thing to remember
is to negotiate the pricing while shopping in these two places.

3. Miao Qian Xi Jie (Temple Front East Street)
Most of the goods sell here is originally
meant for export, the local has some ways to get the goods out and sell
here, some goods are samples, so the quantity is very limited. Street
selling baby goods, adult pajamas, lingerie for the first half of the
street, the latter part of the street is selling some international
brand sport gears, cloths, and apparels that more suitable for sports
lover.
Access information: Taxi is the better
choice as it is not easy for foreigners to find this place.
4. Yi De Lu
(Yide Road)
Yi De Lu is famous for toy wholesale,
decor materials, dried foods wholesale, Chinese New Year goods
wholesale. For local, they particularly come here for dried seafood and
Chinese New Year goods. For foreigners, they like to visit the toy
wholesales mall where they have so many various of toys, apparels and
cool stuff that many foreigners buy back to their home countries and do
trading there.
Access information: Subway number line 2,
stop at Hai Chu Guang Chang (Sea Pearl
Mall).
5. Tao Jin Lu
This street is famous of imported Europe
style clothing. Sometimes they do have clothing that is imported from
Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea too. Since they are doing in a small scale
they able to have the most latest design and styles that faster release
to the local market much earlier than other places. Pricing is
reasonable as compare the one in department stores. A lot of local
Guangzhou artists also shop here.
Access information: Advise to hire a taxi
to go there as it is not easy to find alone.
