Malaysia - General
For transportation from an airport in Malaysia, you have a choice of
booking an airport transfer via your hotel when you book your trip
through an corporate approved travel agency or catching a taxi when you
arrive at the airport.
For U.S. based travelers that require an English speaking taxi driver,
follow this process: Walk through the security doors into the arrival
hall. Turn right to the taxi counter. Pay RM26 and walk out of the
doors from immigration, turn left and catch a taxi in which the driver
speaks English. Do you not select a taxi in which the driver does not
understand or speak English.
Kuala Lumpur
From the airport, you have a choice of booking an airport transfer via
your hotel when you book your trip through a preferred corporate travel
agency (make sure to request this service) or catching a taxi when you
arrive at the airport. If you choose to use taxi, please follow these
instructions. The taxis are inexpensive and safe.
Obtain coupons for taxi and limousine service at one of the following
locations:
The International arrival area just after Customs but before the public
arrival area
The Arrival Hall by Door 3
Note: The counter staff of Airport Limo will be there to assist you
There are two types of taxis:
a) Normal taxi which is a Malaysia brand car name "Proton Wira"
b) High class taxi - Mercedes, Proton Perdana or the
MPV depending on availability at the time.

Penang
Upon arrival at Penang International Airport, you can use a taxi /
limousine service. After passing through security and collecting your
luggage, turn right. Walk to the end where you will see a Pay for Taxi
counter. Pay the taxi / limousine service fare at the counter by and
let them know which hotel you are staying at. Thereafter you will be
given a copy of a coupon. The fare varies depending to your
destination. Walk outside by going straight through the entrance doors
and you will be greeted by the taxi coordinator. He will direct the you
to the assigned taxi / limousine. English speaking drivers are
available and this is a safe way to get to your hotel. |
