The best option: Catch the airport express train from HK airport to HK station. Travel time is 23 minutes. Clear immigration, customs and security - as you walk out of security from the baggage claim area look for machines where you can purchase one-way or return airport express tickets. Purchase a ticket to Hong Kong, which is the 3rd stop from the airport.
Alternatively in the center of the
arrivals meet and greet area there is an airport express counter and
they will help you buy a ticket if you want to put it on your card. you to your hotel on the island which will be 5 mins. If you want to take a taxi (which will be very costly and take over an hour if traffic is about) the taxi stands are located on north side of the Ground Transportation Centre (the left ramp as you leave from Arrival Hall). You will line up in the taxi queue - get in and ask the driver to take you to the hotel - taxi drivers only accept cash in Hong Kong. There are 3 kinds of taxis : urban tax (red in color) serve all destinations throughout Hong Kong and airport, New Territories taxis (green in color) serve only New Territories and some specified roads on Lantau, Lantau taxis (blue in color) serve all destinations in Lantau and the airport. Alternatively, you can request for airport transfer services provided by your hotel. Request this when booking your trip with an corporate approved travel agency. Change to subway from Tong Chong station to Kowlong station which cost roughly HKD$20.00 and about 20 minutes journey. |
